Color Your Life: a portrait painting workshop

WHAT: A 4-Day portrait painting workshop that will take place over the course three separate weekends. This workshop is not based on skill level, but is a chance for anyone who has the inclination to explore painting and portraiture to do so. We will not only address the technical side but examine the liberation of freeing what we see on to canvas. Allowing the discipline of classical portraiture to bring with it the ubiquitous questions within any pursuit of self-knowledge, we will refine our ability to see. And then we will show everyone to celebrate. This spectacular opportunity will only be successful with your participation.

10/2 from 1:00-5:00PM

10/16 from 1:00-2:00PM

10/30 from 1:00-5:00PM

11/13 from 1:00-5:00PM, 6-9 reception

COST: Cost for the class is $150/person for all 4 days (PLUS the cost of materials that are up to the individual to buy ahead of time, scroll down)...$100 for repeating students... everything is negotiable..

During the workshop you will experience a series of longer help passive postures with your muscles relaxed, the yin part and a yang active and challenging flow which will highlight the gifts you received from the yin, such as greater flexibility, more energy and a greater sense of freedom. Teaching a two week portrait painting course at a new social entrepreneur The International Youth Initiative Program (YIP), a new social entrepreneur training in Järna, Sweden.

As part of the CCAS effort in bring more to the Sacramento art scene they are again hosting a tour of contemporary artists who have works spaces within 4 miles of their museum down town. i am delighted for you to come visit my workspace and see works in-progress as well as finished piece.. if you have been here before you will be surprised at some of the changes :-)

as a thank to my community i will have 'my mouth is full of cheesecake' posters ridiculously on sale!
